    What Issues Should We  Consider?

The general issues that both parties should address are those concerning any property owned by the parties, be it real property of personal.  You will need to decide who will take possession of what property and under what terms.  Also, if there are children involved, you will have to decide who has legal custody, who has physical custody, and what will be required regarding financial support for the children.
