The cost for a divorce can range anywhere from $100 to thousands of dollars depending on the services you need and whether your case is uncontested or contested. The fees I charge at the Law Offices Of Bernd G. Stittleburg are substantially less than the many thousands of dollars you would pay at an expensive downtown law firm. At my firm, you will meet with me and only me. I will sit with you, review your case, and help you determine what terms are important to you and then draft a Settlement Agreement. I will personally prepare your case and remain available to you by phone or e-mail to answer your questions. I will meet with you prior to any hearing so that I can prepare you for the questions that may be asked by the judge. At the Final Hearing for your Uncontested Divorce, the judge will ask you to take the stand, you will be sworn in and I will then ask you some basic questions regarding your uncontested divorce. The cost for a Collaborative divorce varies depending on the number of issues that remain unresolved and the length of time needed to resolve those issues. My hourly rate for Collaborative Divorce is $200.00. The cost for an uncontested divorce is a flat fee of $750.00 plus whatever the cost is to file your uncontested divorce in the Superior Court in your county.
