Child Support

    How is Child Support Calculated?

The calculations for Child Support in the State of Georgia has undergone a major change as of January 1, 2007 and is now based not only on the gross income of the non-custodial parent but rather on a combination of both the husband and wife’s gross income.  The income figures may also be adjusted depending on which parent provides other costs for care such as health insurance, educational costs etc.  Click here to go to to the Georgia Child Support Calculator which is accessible to all internet users.
